Trump requests PM Modi to release Hydroxychloroquine order 

US President Donald Trump openly said that he calls the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Singh Modi and said that India who has currently stopped the export of Hydroxychlotoquine should give special exemption to the US and export these medicine to the US.

President Donal Trump "I have called prime minister Narendra mode this morning. They make a large amount of Hydroxychloroquine(vary large amount frankly) and I said that they have a hold because they have 1.5 billion people and  I would be appreciated that they would release the amount we have ordered and they are giving it serious consideration. But we have already 29 million doses. We have millions of doses that are being made here and many millions of doses that are being made elsewhere and shift here"

IMPORTANT POINTS

First that the United States still contains Hydroxychloroquine tablets and some tablets in small quantity are being manufactured in the US and apart from that US are also getting these tablets from other countries

Secondly, the president said that India is a huge producer of Hydroxychloroquine which is the truth since India stands among the top 5 countries to produce this Hydroxychloroquine tablet. 20Indian private companies are producing almost 20 crore tablets every month. Some of the private companies of India producing these tablets are Ipca Laboratories, Zydus Cadila and Wallace Pharmaceuticals

The Indian private has the potential that in the very extreme situation they are capable of increasing the production of these Hydroxycholoquine tablets up to 50 crores per month

Why the US was not producing these medicines in large amounts?

Firstly before COVID-19, the importance of this medicine is not that much. This was considered just a basic medicine. It is the coincidence that India was producing these medicine in  large amount and suddenly the world is in need of this medicine 

Hydroxychloroquine 

Hydroxychloroquine is a normal tablet that anyone can get from a medical store (DO NOT CONSUME THESE TABLETS WITHOUT DOCTOR PERMISSION). These are common tablets and are generally used for rheumatoid arthritis. These are a less toxic derivative of chloroquine and are also used in the treatment of malaria and in the corona-virus situation it has emerged as one of the frontrunners.

There have been various studies around the world about finding the drug and medicine which can work against the COVID-19. Since corona-virus has given a sudden shock to the world so according to the limited studies done by the US scientists on Hydroxychloroquine it has been found that if some patient gets a corona-virus then the chances of that patient to go the ventilator decreases if the patient is given hydroxychloroquine with azithromycin (These medicines should be taken under the supervision of Doctors)

Azithromycin is an antibacterial medicine and is used in the treatment of some infections

President Donal Trump Reaction

Since because of these studies done by US scientists the president Donald Trump got excited and tweeted that the hydroxychloroquine can be a game-changer in the fight against COVID-19

The President "I  want to point out that the hydroxychloroquine is being administered to 1100 patients in New York along with the azithromycin"

In the US there have been various studies regarding COVID-19 patients and It has been found that these two medicines (hydroxychloroquine-Azithromycin) do not kill the corona-virus but it can show some improvement in the symptoms of this deadly virus and the chances of breathing problem or providing ventilator decreases. Because of these reasons, these medicines are in so much attention

ICMR(INDIAN COUNCIL OF MEDICAL RESEARCH)

ICMR has recommended this medicine and said that it can be a preventive medicine for a high-risk group such as health-workers who are going to the hospital and remain near COVID-19 patients.

If these high-risk groups consume these medicine then the chances of their protection of corona-virus increases

NEED OF CHINA

China is not the leading producer of Hydrochloroquine but it produces API(Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) in a very large amount. These are general ingredients used in the production of various medicine including Hydroxychloroquine.

Indian pharmaceuticals companies suggested that we should talk to Chinese authorities and send our army aircraft to airlift the API given by them and bring back them to India so the production of Hydrocholoquine medicine can be increased

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Reply 

Prime minister Narendra Modi had a long conversation with President DonaldTrump and PM has agreed to deploy the full strength of India to fight COVID-19.

They will provide full help to the private Pharmaceutical companies to increase the production  of the medicines

If possible India will export these medicines to other parts of Europe as well

If India is able to increase the production of Hydrochloroquine and is able to export these medicine to other countries then India could emerge as a country with a very positive impact
